This presentation will cover the impact that student attendance accounting and PEIMS reporting has on the amount of state funds received by a district. The focus will be on special populations and how different programs generate funds. We will also discuss the new House Bill 3 funding and the changes to the existing funding. In addition, the team will provide an explanation on why meeting the 75,600 minutes rule matters even though funding is not determined by the number of minutes a student is in class. The goal of this presentation is to assist student consultants in understanding how the data they work with on a daily basis impacts the funding to school districts.
